Edna D. Davis, 78, of East Ridge, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2005 in a local hospital. She was born Edna Dutton in Liverpool, England, one of three children of a merchant seaman father. During World War II she joined the Royal Air Force as a teleprinter operator. There she met and married a GI, Johnny Davis, after the war she immigrated to Tennessee and became a United States citizen on June 24, 1964. Mrs. Davis was and apprentice bookkeeper. She had worked a number of years for R. P. Scott Contracting Co.
