Edna Daisy Daugherty Warren slipped into this world on July 13, 1918 as the daughter of the late Thomas Anderson and Anna Exer Daugherty, who were sharecroppers in the community of Clem in Carroll County. Some years later as the depression took away farming jobs, her family would leave farming to seek employment in the textile mills across the river in Coweta County. It was there they would become a part of the life of the mill villages of Arnco and Sargent where so many families found work and a more dependable income in those difficult years.

Daisy would spend most of her working years in those mills. She would also meet her future husband, George Ralph Warren, Jr., through her work in the mill. They shared many happy years together until his death in 2006. As they had no children, Daisy would come to have a deeper love for and appreciation for her nieces and nephews who would make the years following Ralph’s death somewhat easier.

In the early morning hours of May 23, 2017, Daisy would peacefully cross over that divide between this world and the next and be reunited with all those who had gone before her and share her eternal life with the God she had served for these 98 years. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose”, and so it was with this dear saint.
