Edmund P. Yeaton, 83, of Middlefield, departed this life on Friday, April 15, 2011 at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven.
Edmund was born on November 4, 1927, in Watertown, MA, a son of the late Philip and Harriet (VanHorn) Yeaton. He was a graduate of Taft School Class of 1945 and later obtained his Bachelors Degree from UCONN in Business Administration. He served in the U.S. Army in Okinawa, Japan. He worked as Librarian at Portland Highschool and later was employed as a Federal Inspector for the U.S. Government.
He was a member of over 41 years of the Fraternal Order of the Elks Middletown Lodge 771. He was a also a Mason with St. John’s Lodge No.2 A.F. & A.M. in Middletown, and Burning Bush-Washington 6, R.A.M. in Deep River. He was an avid UCONN sports fan.
He is survived by his brother, Harold Lee Yeaton and his wife Barbara of Wallingford, CT he also leaves a daughter Marjorie Yeaton of CT.
