Edmund F. Poss, Jr., 81, of the Holiday Heights section of Berkeley Twsp, NJ died on Friday December 12, 2014 peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Hoboken, NJ and lived in Howell, NJ before moving to Berkeley Twsp 25 years ago.
Edmund proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Holiday Heights Men’s club, the Knights of Columbus in Brick, NJ, a baseball coach to his sons and loved spending time with his family. He was an insurance agent for Monumental Life Insurance Co. in Freehold, NJ. Edmund is predeceased by his parents Edmund F. Poss, Sr. and Vivian (nee Radnar) Poss; his brothers William and Ronald Poss and his daughter-in-law Arleen K. Poss.
Surviving is his wife of 59 years Bernadine “Betty” (nee Mezzina) Poss; his sons Edmund F. Poss III and his wife Francine of Marlton, NJ, Thomas J Poss and his wife Terri of Wilmington, OH, James S. Poss and his wife Kimberly of Manchester, NJ and Michael R. Poss and his wife Leanne of Ocean City, MD; his siblings Kenneth Poss of Fl, Robert Poss of NJ and Ann Dimino of NJ; his brother-in-law Fred Mezzina and his wife Barbara of NJ; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
