Edmonia Bell, affectionately called “Ed”, was the first child born to the late Emanuel and Rosalee Bell, on December 6, 1924 in Natchez, Mississippi. She received her formal education in the Natchez, MS School System.
Upon moving to Chicago, IL with her family, she secured a job at a factory where she worked for many years, which was a testament to her dedication, commitment, and strong work ethics.
Edmonia leaves to cherish her memories: a loving daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Merill Chandler; two brothers: Emanuel (Pearl) Bell and C.R. (Charlesetta) Bell; a beloved sister-in-law, Rosie Pittman; four nieces: Elaine (Daniel) Gayles, Tracey Bell, Latoya Bell, and Ruby Pittman; seven nephews: William Pittman, Henry Pittman, David Pittman, Cornell; Bell, Jerome (Veronica) Bell, Ronald (Yonnie) Anderson, and Roderick (Denise) Bell; and a host of other relatives and friends.
