She was born September 26, 1916 in Owensboro, KY; the daughter of Clarence and Opal Skaggs. She married Owen R. â??Ghandiâ? Church on April 7, 1946 in Princeton, IL and he preceded in death on January 31, 1972.
She is survived by a son, Gary Church of Jacksonville and several cousins. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Hamrick and a nephew.
Mrs. Church was a 1934 graduate of Princeton, IL High School. She was a homemaker and assisted her husband with his Pioneer Seed Corn business. Following his death, she was a sales clerk for the J C Penney retail store in Jacksonville from 1973 to 1995. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Jacksonville.
