Edith P. Gabalec died Saturday morning April 9, 2016 at her residence. Edith was born April 25, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois a daughter of Emil and Pauline (Klingbeil) Wolfgram. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 2010, coming from Des Plaines, IL. Edith was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin R. Gabalec on October 27, 2012; a daughter, Joy Gabalec on May 7, 2013; 4 sisters; and 3 brothers.
She is survived by 2 children, Lynn Gabalec of Vernon Hills, IL and Ann (Michael) Bensinger of Kalamazoo; 2 grandchildren, M. Brian Bensinger and Mark Bensinger; a cousin; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11 o’clock Thursday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St.
