Edith May Aulbach passed away on April 22, 2014, at her daughter’s home in Napoleon. She was born on August 18, 1914 in New Trenton (Franklin County, IN), the daughter of Leo Adam and Edna E. (Bennett) Schaefer. She married Ferdinand Louis Aulbach on October 18, 1941, and he preceded her in death on July 17, 2000. They had two children.
Edith graduated in 1933 from Whitewater High School of Cedar Grove, IN. Beginning in the 1930’s, Edith was a bottle inspector while working for Coca Cola in Cincinnati. After marrying her beloved husband, she and her husband owned a dairy farm five miles east of Brookville.
Edith enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and embroidery. Her family commented that she was a great cook. She loved to can fruits and vegetables from her garden. Her latest enjoyment was a hot dog and root beer from the Greensburg A&W.
