Edith Mae Morey Lape, 68
West Sand Lake Edith Mae Morey Lape, 68, of Route 43, died Monday at Samaritan Hospital Troy, after a long illness.
Born in Mechanicville, she was daughter of the late Raymond Stanley and Florence Senecal Morey and wife of Raymond ‘Jugger’ G. Lape. She had resided in West Sand Lake for the past 60 years.
Mrs. Lape was a homemaker and until 10 years ago worked in the cafeterias of West Sand Lake and Averill Park schools and the College of Saint Rose.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the West Sand Lake Fire Company.
Survivors in addition to her husband include four sons; Michael (Laurie) Lape of Clifton Park, Alfred (Tracy) Lape and John (Lori) Lape of West Sand Lake and Edward (Dixie) Lape ofQueensbury, a daughter, Shelley (Brian) Denue of South Schodack; two brothers, James (Sherry) Morey of Averill Park and George Morey of Troy; 9 grandchildren; Amanda Radley, Melissa Radley, Nicole Lape, Rebecca Lape, Alfred Lape, Jr., Angela Lape, Philip Lape, Raymond Lape and Alisha Denue, an aunt Mary Zayacheck, and several nieces and nephews.
