Edith J. Reisler, 88 of Coudersport, PA, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013 at Hamot Hospital, Erie, PA.
Born in Calvert, MD, on September 7, 1924, she was the daughter of the late John S. and the late Claretta (England) Reisler.
She graduated from Calvert Ag High School and earned her B.S. from Wheaton College, Wheaton, IL. In the 1940’s she taught Home Economics at North East High School.
Ms. Reisler retired from Penn State Cooperative Extension where she worked as a Home Extension Agent/Economist in Potter and Somerset Counties.
She served on the Board of Directors for the Lumbermen’s Museum, Coudersport, PA. She was a very active member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Coudersport. She also actively assisted citizens with their income taxes during tax time.
Ms. Reisler is survived by her siblings: Ralph Reisler of Rising Sun, MD, Ruth Starook of Strasburg, PA and David Reisler of Calvert, MD.
