Edith (Fiore) Dumigan of 2477 Addington Circle, Viera Florida 32955 and  209 North Main Street Canastota, NY 13032, died peacefully in her sleep on  Tuesday, August 2, 2016 with her family at her side at  home in Viera, Fl.   She  was born in Canastota, N.Y. the daughter of Frank P. and Mary Fiore and  the youngest of 14 children (seven sisters and seven brothers).  She grew up in a small three bedroom house in Canastota, N.Y.  Edith was often asked, “how did all fourteen children live in that house?, her reply with a smile was, “when there is love in a home- there is always enough room”.  Edith was a graduate of Canastota High School and married Robert Dumigan of Syracuse N.Y. who retired from Carrier Corporation

 

Edith’s  worked for her brothers at Fiore’s Medical Center Pharmacy of Oneida, N.Y, and the Prescription Center Pharmacy of Rome and Utica N.Y for many years  She was also employed by Oneida Savings Bank, and Hess’s Department Store. Edith loved to cook, entertain family and friends at home, she also had a great interest in local dinner- theater acting performances where she often played a leading role. She will be remembered as an inspiration, a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She was a devoted Catholic and felt at peace in her daily prayer.  Edith enjoyed living in Florida during the winter months for nearly 20 years.

 

Edith  is survived by her husband Robert,  three sons, Ward (Donna) Dumigan,  Orlando, FL, Lance (Lorrie) Dumigan, Rochester N.Y., and Troy Dumigan Canastota, N.Y., three brothers, Frank Fiore of Canastota, NY, John ( Patricia) Fiore of Wampsville , NY and Anthony (Ada) Fiore of Cape Coral, Florida, two sisters, Lucy(Thomas) Mirante of Canastota, NY and Anita Price of Syracuse, NY, six grandchildren, Erin, Ryan, Tracy, Amy, Kaleigh and Alexa and three geat grandchildren Ella, Darin and Madison ,  Many nieces and nephews and good friends.  She is predeceased by four brothers, Alexandro, Alexander, Louis, Henry and four sisters, Alphonzia, Irene, Rose and Eunice.
