Edith Cooksey Bealle died August 30, 2015, at age 92.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, John William Bealle.
Edith was born February 14, 1923 to the late Robert and Myrtle Cooksey of Dentsville, MD. Edith was preceded in death by her four siblings, Carlyle Cooksey, Joe Cooksey, Robert Lee Cooksey and Mae Wilson.
She graduated from La Plata High School.
She is survived by her two children, Elizabeth Louise Bealle Stallman (Donald) and Robert William Bealle (Bernice).
She also leaves two grandchildren, Heather Stallman Forkey (Joe) and Chris Stallman (Julie); and four great-grandchildren, Ryan and Kelsey Stallman and Carson and Reagan Forkey.
In the 1950’s, Edith was employed by the Federal Department of Agriculture in Washington, DC. She also worked at the Tobacco Warehouse in Waldorf, Waldorf Florist (later owning Waldorf Florist in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s), Franks Nursery & Crafts, and her last job was as a Demonstrator in the local grocery stores. Edith was a founding member of the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Departments Ladies Auxiliary.
