Edith Claire Leeds, a lifelong resident of Burlington, NJ, died on Friday, September 21st, 2018. She was 84 years old. She is survived by her children, Claire and Douglas Chiesa, Edward and Kathryn Riegen, Jennifer and John Spencer, and Brian Tudor Leeds; her grandchildren, Brittany, Paige and Cristian, Courtney, David, Daniel, Rachel, John Jr., and Paul; great-grandson Dylan; her sister, Emily Crane; and her cats, Tippy and Inky.

She is preceded in death by her sister Thelma MacMillan and her brothers, Gilbert Leeds, and Melvin Leeds. Edith was a member of Harbor Baptist Church in Hainesport; made a career as a bus driver for Burlington Township and Burlington City; gave her time and skills to drive the Easton Union Church bus; and finished her career as a senior clerk working for the NJ Division of Gaming Enforcement. She was known for her generous heart and perpetual smile, befriending everyone she met.

Edith’s faith is exemplified by the butterflies that she loved: “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things become new.”
