Edith “Eydie” (Bijas) Simoneau, 61, of Cromwell, beloved wife of Gary A. Simoneau, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, August 18th at Hartford Hospital. Born in Maurage, Belgium, she was the daughter of Joseph and Irene (Warton) Bijas of Kensington. Eydie came to the United States with her parents in October of 1953, settling in New Britain. On August 19, 1972, Eydie and Gary were married and spent 38 wonderful years together.
