Mr. Edgar “Ed” Harold DeLoach, Jr. passed away unexpectedly on October 6, 2021 at Fairview Hospital in Dublin, Georgia. Ed was born in Dawson, Georgia on May 7, 1965, to the late Edgar “Harold” DeLoach, Sr. and Eleanor Rebecca Brooks DeLoach.
Upon graduating from Statesboro High School in 1983, Ed proudly chose to serve his country by enlisting in the U. S. Army, attending basic training at Ft. McClellan, Alabama. After basic, Ed entered advanced individual training for military police. He served at Fort Polk, Louisiana, Korea, and Honduras, attaining the rank of Sergeant.
After his stint in the military, he returned to Statesboro and Georgia Southern University, earning a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of twenty-four years, Beverly; his son Todd Wayne (Shauna) DeLoach of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; his sisters, Donna V. Wright, and Carol Daniels; his brother, Wiley William DeLoach; the friend with whom he shared everything, Mike (Alice) Murphy; and other special childhood friends, Jason Wallace of Salt Lake City, Utah and Mitch Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia.
