Mr. Mickey, was born January 15, 1934 in Stokes county, NC to the late Edgar Wesley and Glendola Ingram Mickey, and was preceded in death by two brothers. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, and was a volunteer with King Outreach Ministries. He was retired from the NC Department of Transportation.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Maxine Lawson Mickey, two daughters: Sandy Scott and (Jesse), and Tammy Barber and (Jimmy), a son, John Mickey (April) and six grandchildren: Nicole Scott, Jason Barber, Joshua Mickey, Nicolas Barber, Luke Mickey, and Jordan Mickey.
