Eddie Lee Wrightsil, Jr. was born on August 27, 1944, in Denver, Colorado to his parents, Eddie Lee Wrightsil, Sr. and Ruth Nell Price Wrightsil. He was the first born in the family. He was raised surrounded by his brothers, Freddie, Billy, Howard and Larry. As a child, he enjoyed playing baseball, football and boxing. The family remembers him breaking his leg twice while playing football. Eddie received his formal education in Denver, where he graduated from Manual High School. In October of 1967, Eddie united in holy matrimony to the former Linda Hill. They first met at East High School in Denver. They exchanged vows in the home of Linda’s parents. To this union, a beautiful baby girl they named Sebonn Nichelle was born. Sebonn remembers her father as loving, caring and having a comedic personality. He was one who always made others laugh. By profession, Eddie was employed by RTD as a Bus Driver. He was hardworking and made his patron riders feel comfortable as they traveled through the Denver metro area. Some of Eddie’s civic affiliations include beinng a member of the Fellows Club. He often planned parties, picnics and was one who didn’t mind serving food during club activities. He has been a member for over thirty five years. He also helped serve food during the infamous “Look Who’s Cooking” activity held annually in Denver. He worked diligently with other organizers of the Manual High School Class Reunion’s. Eddie was a fun loving man who enjoyed life and those he encircled. His closest friends, Ray Chapman, Earl Threats, Elmer Tinsley and Torry Hughes will miss his humor and jovial personality. They will also miss the camaraderie they all shared together and the fact that he was a true and genuine friend. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful man who would ask “Where’s my money?” To know Eddie was to love him. Eddie Lee Wrightsil, Jr. departed this life to join family and friends that have preceded him in death on January 8, 2014, in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss include his daughter, Sebonn N. (Deroyce) Davis; his mother, Ruth N. Wrightsil all of Denver; 3 brothers, Freddie J. (Joy) Wrightsil of Sterling, CO, Billy C. Wrightsil and Larry Wrightsil; his God sister, Mosezella White and her daughter, Tiara Scott all of Denver and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and many friends.
