C. Edward Rougier, Jr. beloved husband and father passed away on the evening of June 10, 2017 at his home. He was born on September 4, 1934 in Swampscott, Mass and was raised in Lynn, Mass. He attended St Jean Baptiste school for 12 yrs. He played basketball and was a team captain of the baseball team. When he was a senior in high school he tried out for the Boston Red Sox but due to ankle injuries, did not make the team. Ed met Teddy Williams and he caught for Warren Spahn in an exhibition game for the Boston Braves and the Boston Red Sox. He was in the National Guard while in high school. In 1953 he was drafted by the Air Force and in 1954 stationed in Ellsworth Air Force Base in Rapid City, SD. He was a Crew Chief on a RB-36 plane and ferried planes from Rapid City, SD to Guam and he went on classified missions to Korea. He was discharged in Oct of 1958.
