Easton Gene Castro was born October 1, 2018, to Whitney Bosen and Ricardo Castro at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
The moment he was born, the feeling of love and joy was overwhelming. Easton was diagnosed with Down Syndrome during pregnancy and we knew from that moment on that he would be perfect.
Down Syndrome wasn’t the only challenge Easton had to face in his early life. He was also born with a heart defect that required three open heart surgeries and numerous other procedures. Through it all, Easton continued to smile and bring happiness to all who cared for him.
Easton loved music, talking, playing with his tongue, sucking his thumb, and cuddling. His favorite thing to do was admire his parents who were with him every day.
Easton was cared for by many who loved him; first at EIRMC, then at Primary Children’s Hospital. On April 6, 2019, in the arms of his loving parents, and surrounded by his family, Easton returned home to his Heavenly Father.
He is proceeded in death by his Uncle Chase, Aunt Allysha, Grandma Tammy, Grandpa Gene, and Uncle Ryan.
He is survived by his parents, Whitney Bosen and Ricardo Castro; sister, Surri; grandparents and godparents, Moises and Isabel Castaneda; and multiple grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Although we only got six short months with Easton, he was a shining example of courage, strength, and love. We will hold on to and forever cherish the memories we shared with him. We love you so much, Easton, and cannot wait to see you again.
