Early Henry Harris, 84, of American Legion Road, Stuart, VA, died on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Blue Ridge Rehab Center in Martinsville. Born on July 29, 1927 in Henry County, VA, he was a son of the late Elethe Bernard Harris and Herbert Henry Harris. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Lucy West Harris; sister, Jesse Harris; brothers, Jack Harris, Lloyd Harris and Willie Harris. Mr. Harris was a member of Providence United Methodist Church. He was employed as a gravedigger for Lamar Howell for many years. Survivors include sisters, Virgie Cassady and Minnie Harris, both of Stuart; brother, Walter Harris of Collinsville; sisters-in-law, Margaret Harris of Buena Vista and Nancy Harris of Collinsville; brother-in-law, Buddy West of Stuart; special friends, Shirley Rea and Carol Hubbard, both of Stuart and several nieces and nephews.
