Deacon Early Bee Reed confessed the Lord as his personal savior at an early age and attended Union Baptist Church. He served as deacon in his church for many years. Deacon Reed was a faithful servant that enjoyed talking about the Lord and testifying about how good God has been to him. Deacon Reed attented church services until his health began to fail him.
Deacon Early Bee Reed was a firm believer in being an entrepreneur. At a young age he decided to work for himself. It would be through his mastery in woodcutting of pulpwood and his desire to take care of his family that the business man in him was birth. He truly found joy in cutting pulpwood as his livelihood. He also enjoyed driving and fixing on his trucks. He was proud to be a mentor to several young men in Cortelyou and the surrounding communities; often giving them an opportunity to work alongside him. He was a great teacher and will be remembered for his love and caring heart for others.
Deacon Early Bee Reed leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted children, Elizabeth Brown (Amos), South Floral Park, NY., Marvin Barnett (Vera), of Jackson, AL. ; John Reed (Joyce), Fort Valley, Georgia; David Pogue (Stella) Cortelyou, AL., brother, Raine Lee Reed, Victorville, California, The boys he also loved were Michael and Anthony Davis and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
