Mr. Earlie Robert Delaney, Jr., age 67, of Mt. Clare passed away on Friday, September 5, 2014 at his home.
He was born on May 11, 1947 in Philippi, WV a son of the late Earlie Robert, Sr., and Theda Boylen Delaney. Earlie worked as an engineer in the mines for many years until his retirement. He was Baptist by faith and will be missed by all those who knew him and will be remembered for his humor and many jokes he told.
He is survived by his wife Beverly Nelson Delaney whom he married on June 21, 1969; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Benjamin Grose, of Clarksburg; 2 grandchildren, Morgan Grose and Noah Grose, both of Clarksburg; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Davis Lewis, of Philippi; 5 half sisters; several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a half brother.
