E. Earlene Lewis, of Lonoke, Arkansas, went home to be with the Lord and Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 surrounded by family at her side.

Earlene was born December 15, 1946 in Lonoke, Arkansas to the late Robert Earl Raper and Ethel Lucille (Tucker) Murray.

Earlene married the love of her life, Roy Lewis, on June 26, 1963; they were married for 59 years. After Roy’s death, she welcomed the day the Lord would bring her Home to be back in Roy’s arms for eternity. After 2 months and one day, it was her day to join Roy in Heaven.

Earlene had a heart of gold. She loved big and with her whole heart.  To Earlene, her family was her world.  She loved her family fiercely. Earlene loved to share her family with the world.  She was so proud of her family.  She loved having family get-togethers so she could have her large family all in one place. Holidays, birthdays, and “just because” days were always filled with her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids surrounding her. At any time, you could walk through her and Roy’s door and find a safe place and food- you were always guaranteed to feel as if you were family.

Earlene was a wonderful cook, and loved cooking and providing food for everyone. She loved her dogs Peanut and Pedro, and raised a farm with her husband Roy for many years. They raised many animals over the years.

Earlene and Roy were able to spend time traveling together as they worked hauling fish across the US. Earlene and Roy built their business “Lewis Bait Hauling.”  She was very proud of her and Roy’s accomplishments that made the business successful through hard work and sacrifice.

She is survived by her son Roy Don Lewis (Gina), of Lonoke, AR; daughter Lori Evans (Ronnie) of Lonoke, AR; son Jerry Lewis of Lonoke, AR; son Timmy Lewis of Lonoke, AR; grandchildren, Kaleena, Toni, Dwayne, Glenn, Kristina, Alyssa, Bubba, Jessy, and Josie; 8 great grandchildren, Gabe, Sawyer, Kinsley, Silas, Hunter, Eli, Addie Mae, and Savannah; and a host of other relatives and friends who will mourn her loss, but continue to celebrate her life.
