Earl Sharp Jr., of Maple Grove, died on December 8, 2023, at the age of 93.Earl was born on December 13, 1929, to Earl Sharp Sr. and Edna in Reese, Michigan. In 2008, he became apart of Valerie and Bob Griffins family, were he nearly spent 20 years with them. Earl was known for being a social butterfly. Always saying hello to everyone he met, and making new friends. He loved Scooby Doo, trains, knitting, crocheting rugs, helping his Mamma Val pull weeds in the flower bed when he was able, Setting on the porch waiting for the milk trucks to honk their horns as they went by. Riding in the Polaris. Playing his spoons and dancing with the music. He liked to show people how to play the spoons and when you couldn’t he would take them back and make it look easy. Earl loved playing cards. He was extremely witty and had a contagious, unique laugh that everyone remembered. He was an active member in the SPRED program at St. Michaels in Maple Grove, as well as participating in the Special Olympics Area 22 for many years.Earl attended CTS in New Lothrop for many years before retiring from there.Earl is survived by his second family, Valerie Mamma Val and Bob Griffin. The family would like to give a special thank you to Sue Quaderer from the Senior Center in Maple Grove where Earl spent many years playing bingo and he had his job helping Sue.Thank you to the staff at Comfort Care in Chesaning for all of their kindness and caring of Earl. He loved his girls. And to his best friend, Larry F; he missed you very much. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings.
