Earl Russell “Rusty” McCartney, age 58, of Simpson, passed away at his residence. He was born in Grafton, February 3, 1955, a son of the late Guy McCartney and Ellen Virginia (Post) McCartney. Rusty was a 1975 graduate of Flemington High School. He was employed at various jobs throughout his life including Petroleum Development Corporation. Surviving are: three cousins, Mary Ellen Swartz, of Stephens City VA, Shelly Gardner, of Winchester, VA, and Wilda Berg, of Front Royal, VA.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, David McCartney.
