Earl R. Masteller, 95, of Fountain Hill, died Monday, January 7, 2008, in Cedarbrook Fountain Hill Annex. He was the husband of Elizabeth P. (Beier) who died in 2003. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth (Rudolph) Masteller. Before retiring in 1977, he was employed for 44 years as a template maker for Bethlehem Fabricators. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. During the Franklin Roosevelt Administration and Depression, he was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. He loved music and enjoyed playing the harmonica. Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Elaine A. Madzarac and her husband Alex of Fountain Hill, Jeanne L. Szemenyei and her husband Louis of Bethlehem, Karen D. Brown of Bethlehem and Loretta J. Masteller of Fountain Hill; son Gerald R. and his wife Evelyn of Allentown; grandchildren Brian, Mark and Dawn Madzarac, Tara Koehnlein, Stephen Szemenyei, Beth Hill, Amy Rau, Keith Masteller, Matthew Brown and 8 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by 7 brothers and 2 sisters.
