Earl F. Ochs, 73, of Three Oaks, Michigan, died Sunday evening, November 12, 2006, surrounded by his loving family.Earl was born January 26, 1933 in Saint Marie, Illinois to Sylvester and Lois (Miller) Ochs. He served his country in the Army Air Force during the Korean War, and on October 22, 1960, he married Catherine Beckman in Gary, Indiana. Earl was employed by U.S. Steel before his retirement. He loved to work in his yard and garden and enjoyed playing Euchre on Saturday with his many friends at the Galien American Legion.

Earl was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Three Oaks and was a member of the Randall Couchman American Legion Post # 204, Three Oaks.Survivors include his wife, Catherine; children, Carlin (Linda) Ochs of Bridgman, Michigan; Frances (Tom) Wasko of Berwyn, Illinois; Phyllis (Stuart) Goldstein of Grays Lake, Illinois; Rita (Tim) Dawson of New Troy, Michigan and Martha (Paul) Welsch of Round Lake, Illinois; grandchildren, Tim and Brandi Dawson, Alex and Kristy Goldstein, Joshua and Sydney Welsch; his mother and step father Lois and Sam Ochs of Saint Marie; sisters, Clorine (George) Krits of Saint Marie; Lou Ellen (Vic) Frohning of Cisne, Illinois; Sue (Smitty) Condney of Robison, Illinois and Linda (Bill) Bunting of Fairfield, Illinois and his brothers, Pat (Betty) Ochs of Saint. Marie; Mike (Mary Ellen) Ochs of Pawnee, Illinois, Gene (Phyllis) Ochs of Saint. Marie and David (Judy) Ochs of Cypress, Texas.

Earl was preceded in death by his father, his brother, Walter and sister-in-law Marcie.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon on Thursday, November 16, 2006 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Three Oaks with the Reverend Father Donald Suberlak, C.R. as Celebrant. Military Rites will be presented by the Randall Couchman American Legion Post # 204, Three Oaks.
