A Time To Be Born

Mr. Earl Johnson entered into the world on September 29, 1957 through the union of the late William Henry (Buddy) Johnson and Hattie Arrington Johnson in Melvin, Alabama

A Time To Plant

One’s tree is recognized by the fruit it bears. Earl’s tree of life was full of love, joy, patience, kindness, goodness and gentleness. Earl had no kids of his own, but he helped raised nieces and nephews. He was well known in the community and neighborhood. He met no strangers. Earl spent about thirty five years in Lakewood, New Jersey where he was also well known and loved. He worked construction many years in Lakewood, New Jersey. He loved being with family and enjoyed life. Earl returned back home to Lisman, Alabama about nine years ago to be with his family.

“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to plant and a time to pluck what is planted.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

A Time To Mourn

He leaves memories to be cherished by many. among those are five sisters; Dianne Johnson Ruffin and Shirley Johnson of Lisman, Alabama, Mary (Justin) Dozier of Sweetwater, Alabama, Ethel (Bennie) Moss of Butler, Alabama, Cora (Joe) Brown of Melvin, Alabama. Three brothers; J.C. (Lavois) Spells, Jerry Johnson of Lakewood, New Jersey, Charles (Rose) Wallace of Meridian, Mississippi.

Three Sisters preceded him in death; Minnie Lawyer, Maggie Staten and Willie Grace Jones.

A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and love ones
