Earl L. Raymond born on Sept. 27th. 1936 from Troy, NY passed away peacefully with his family by his bedside at his home on Jan 11th. 2022 at the age of 85. Earl was one of four children to Doris Machia and Rodolph Raymond from Highgate Center VT. Earl is survived by brothers Al and Ron Raymond, sister Donna Martin. Three sons James and Craig Raymond and (stepson) Kenneth Gardner. Earl was blessed to have seven grandchildren and nine Great grandchildren. After High School, Earl enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 19. While in the Army he served more than 22 years as a missile inspector for the Safeguard Missile System. Earl retired at the rank of CW04. After his retirement from the U.S. Army in 1976, Earl moved his family from North Dakota to Washington State to start a new career with Lockheed. Also, as a Missile Inspector. Earl worked at Lockheed for more than 20 years. In 1997 Earl and his late wife of 42 years Deloris Raymond relocated to Florida to finish his last years with Lockheed.
Earl’s hobbies were golfing, bicycling, cross country skiing, nature treks and camping in their Motorhome. While traveling, Earl enjoyed the opportunity to golf at many championship golf courses around the country. While living in Washington State, Earl did multiple (STP’s) Seattle to Portland bicycle rides over the years, completing them in one day. Which was a big accomplishment for Earl.
