Earl Johnson Arnold, age 79, of Greensboro, GA, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Boswell Parker Health & Rehabilitation in Greensboro, GA. Earl was born November 4, 1938 in Sparta, GA to the late Dewitt Arnold and Ruth Johnson Arnold. Earl graduated from Greensboro High School where he excelled in football and played on the all-star team and then attended Reinhardt University. He entered into the United States Army where he proudly served his country and received an honorable discharge. Following his time with the Army, he lived in Atlanta operating heavy equipment in both Atlanta and Athens and helped to complete MARTA. On December 20, 1992 he married Mary Hensler and they made their home in Greensboro, GA. While living in Greensboro, Earl became a paper carrier for the Atlanta Journal Constitution which he did for a number of years.
In addition to his wife, Mary Arnold of Greensboro, GA, he is survived by two stepdaughters, Shirley Duvall and husband Dan of Greensboro, GA and Debra Cash and husband Robert of Eatonton, GA; son, Todd Arnold of Eatonton, GA; grandson, Josh Arnold of Eatonton, GA; step granddaughter, Jackie Maliszewski and husband Rick of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; step great granddaughter, Dani Rae Maliszewski; niece, Paige Vickers; great niece and nephew, Robin Vickers and C. J. Vickers; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a half sister, Opal Logue and a brother, Johnny Arnold.
