Earl “Barney” Anselm , age 78, of Rensselaer passed away April 17, 2010 at his residence.
He was born on July 13, 1931, in Amherst, WI, to the late Albert and Minnie (Strauss) Anselm. He moved to the area in the 1940’s and attended Newland School. On February 15, 1949 in Rensselaer, IN Earl married Versa (Patrick) Anselm. Earl had worked as a foreman for many years with William Gehring Inc., and later worked for the Jasper County Farm Beareau CO-OP. Earl was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge. He is survived by his loving wife Versa, two daughters, Shirley M. (Kenrick) LeGrand of Rensselaer and Debbie (Jesse) Biggs of Rensselaer and one son, Otis (Zofia) Anselm of Rensselaer; 3 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
