Earl Franklin Elliott, 88, passed away in his home Wednesday, January 12, 2022, surrounded by his loving family and faithful companion dog, Sammy.
Earl was born on July 7, 1933 to Nancy (McCloud) and Orville Elliott. Earl was a lifelong resident of Crawfordsville and was the youngest of nine children.
Earl is survived by his loving wife of sixty-four years, Ruby (Barker) Elliott, and by their three treasured daughters; Jennifer Elliott Meadows (David), Sarah Elliott (Mike) and Connie Elliott Mills (Roy). Earl was an adored “Paps” to his ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was also a much-loved Uncle Earl to his many nieces and nephews and was a cherished younger brother to older siblings. Earl was a dear and special friend to his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Earl enjoyed a long career in banking and retired from Montgomery Savings and Loan as President and Chairman of the Board. Earl served on the boards of several Montgomery County nonprofit and civic organizations during his career and retirement. He was an active member of Kiwanis for over fifty years.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Nancy Elliott and his eight siblings: Jack Elliott, Ruby Vaught, Harry Elliott, Bonnie Shea, Vivian Stewart, Doris Brier, Lois Rizzo and Wilma Vaught.
