Earl “Dean” Main, 91, of Peru, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Heritage Healthcare Center in Peru.
Mr. Main was born July 16, 1922 in Ethel, MO to Sylvester A. and Rose (Rice) Main. He married Betty M. Hamer on August 25, 1947 in Crown Pointe, IN. Mr. Main was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre during World War II. He was a member of Boiler Makers Local 60 in Peoria and Masonic Lodge 607 in Streator.
He was a die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed fishing. Survivors include one son, Dennis (Jo Ann) Main of Peru; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty on November 30, 2005; one son, Gary Main; one daughter, Luanne Main; one sister, Marjorie Martin and two brothers, James and Donald Main.
