E. Diane Fennell, 64, of Railroad Street, Chicora, died unexpectedly of natural causes Friday at her residence.
Diane was born in Franklin on August 5, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Russell W. and Mary T. Beck Hillwig.
She had been a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Chicora. She especially enjoyed gardening, decorating for Christmas, collecting Santas, crocheting, and ceramics. She was a member of Chicora Women of the Moose. In her earlier years she had been employed at Bobbi Brooks in Butler, and later at the Chicora Medical Center. Diane is survived by three daughters, Rhonda Blystone and her fiancAC. John Roudebush of Newell, West Virginia, Erica Fennell of Chicora, and Colleen Berg of Slippery Rock. Six grandchildren survive, Nicole, Michael, Colby, Jonathan, Teddy, and Willie. Three great grandchildren also survive. Three sisters survive, her twin sister, Gale Bradley of Covington, La., Dottie Kelsea of Chicora, and Rusann Anderson of Karns City. Her husband survives, Gary L. Fennell of Chicora. Also surviving is a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and her beloved dog, Emma.
