Dwight Lynn Rountree, 65, passed away at home surrounded by family and friends on July 5, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. Dwight was born on November 25, 1951 to the late Fred H. Rountree and Mary Lynn Rountree, and grew up in College Park, Georgia. Dwight retired from the Clayton County Police Department and had a long and rewarding career in law enforcement. In addition to his parents, Dwight was predeceased by his father-in-law, James Conine, and brother-in-law, Billy Conine. Dwight is survived by his wife, Gail; his daughter, Carrie; his son, Wayne; mother-in-law, Luella L. Conine; sisters-in-law Sandra Fields and Julie Ward; adopted sister, Susan Roman; brother-in-law, Mike Ward, his loving nieces and nephews, and his faithful companion, Miss Olivia.
