Dwight Joseph Krebs was born on July 25, 1945, at Rolfe, Iowa, the son of Elmer and Isabel (Coughlon) Krebs. He graduated from Barnum High School, and in July of 1965 he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force on December 18, 1968. He was then employed at the Farmers Co-Operative Elevator in Manson for the next 42 years, retiring on January 28, 2011.
Dwight is survived by his brother Gary Krebs of Ft. Dodge, IA; sister Isabel (Jack) Presse of Lola, MT; step sister Dianna “Dee” (Larry) Snow of Manson, IA; sister-in-law Dianne Krebs of Ft. Dodge, IA; step sister-in-law Jody Simpson of Rockwell City, IA; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Sue and husband John Thoma; stepmother Betty (Simpson) Krebs; brothers Dennis and Randy Krebs; infant sister Mary; step brother Robert Simpson.
