Dwight Gross, age 86, of Algona and formerly of Burt passed away on Wednesday January 13, 2021 at the West Bend Health and Rehab Center. Dwight H. Gross, the son of Cephas and Hilda (Leason) Gross, was born on January 14, 1934 in Lone Rock, Iowa. Dwight was drafted into the U.S Army 1956 and was honorably discharged in 1958. On December 30, 1971 Dwight was united in marriage with Madonna R. Vogel in Winter Haven, California. Dwight had worked as a school custodian in Arizona. He enjoyed tinkering with his tractor, attending the races in Algona, and tractor pulls. Dwight had a pilot’s license and enjoyed flying. Left to cherish Dwight’s memory is his wife of 49 years, Madonna of Algona; 2 brothers, Perry Gross of Leland and Duane (Margaret) Gross of Des Moines; and a sister, Roseann Gifford-Welle of Milford. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donald, Richard, Harold and Russell Gross; and sisters, Doris Crouse and Gwen McDonald.
