Dwana Jean (Dougan) Graves, went to be with the Lord on 1/8/20. Born 8/26/60, she was a loving soul who met no stranger. The eldest of her siblings, she was known as a leader. One of many roles she took on in her lifetime. She carried many, which was something she prided herself on. “Always help those in need, never let evil prevail if you can help it, love your enemies, and above all else, pray” were mottos she lived by. She was a daughter, grand daughter, sister and friend. Her favorite role was mother. She was an amazing mother only to become an even more amazing “Maw Maw”. Family was everything to her. Her words could be razor sharp, but her hugs were like medicine. She always gave you truth and did her best to deliver it with kindness. If she loved you, you knew it. She always found ways to show it. One way was through food. She was an awesome cook. She believed that food opened up fellowship and allowed her to express her endearment. Another way, was no doubt, through music! Anyone and everyone who knew her has a song that reminds them of her and she had one for them too.
