Mr. Schuster died on July 7, 2017, at the Norfolk Care and Rehabilitation Center in Norfolk.
Dwain was born on July 24, 1936, in Plainview, NE, the son of William and Gertrude (Billiter) Schuster. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. He was raised on the farm and attended several country schools. At the age of 12 his family moved to Oakdale.
Dwain worked as a farmhand milking and driving truck.
On April 7, 1962, Dwain married Jacqueline Goehry. A daughter, Crystal, was born to this union. The couple later divorced. On December 27, 1974, Dwain married Lorna (Engelbart) Hansen.
Dwain was employed by Mid-West Beef prior to starting his own business, Schuster Shingling, which he retired from full time work in February 1994 and continued doing some part time work until recently.
He had a life-long fondness for livestock and raised several different species.
Surviving Dwain are his wife of 42 years, his daughter, Crystal Holihan and her husband Michael, Texarkana, TX; his 4 step daughters; 2 grandchildren, 15 step grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 24 step great grandchildren; one brother, Joe Schuster, of Omaha and a sister, Betty Salber, of Elgin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and his spouse, Francis and Claudia Schuster, Marlene Schuster, brother-in-law, Melvin Salber and a nephew Brad Schuster.
