Duwain Edward Rhoten went home to join his Heavenly Father on September 22, 2016. Duwain was born in Taft, CA on October 4, 1926 to Dixie and Violet Rhoten. He spent his childhood years primarily in Taft, CA with brief stints of residency in Texas, Missouri and Atascadero, CA. In 1944 Duwain left Taft to serve his country in the United States Navy where he fought bravely in the Second World War on submarines in the Pacific Theatre.
