Durwood Satterfield, 84, of New Market, AL, passed away peacefully at home Friday April 15th. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a member of Plevna Holiness Church. He was a veteran of the US Army and retired from Century Buick.
Mr. Satterfield was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Preston and Adie Satterfield; Aunt Rena Satterfield; his parents, William Houston Satterfield and Emma Hill Woods; his sister, Jimmie Lee Myers, and great-grandson, Abram Jeremy Ogle.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Annie Moore Satterfield; his daughters, Cynthia (Billy) Holman of Flintville, TN; Susan Stadler of Dacula, GA; his son, Jason (Shannon) Satterfield of Hazel Green, AL; his brothers, Leamon Satterfield of Huntsville, AL, Otis Woods of IN; his sister, Ophelia Hillard of Huntsville, AL; ten grandchildren, Adam (Michelle) Holman, Amber (Louie) Ogle, April (Jeremy) Ogle, Haley Harris, Houston House, Hayden and Samantha Stadler, Samuel, Seth and Sarah Satterfield; 13 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and special caregivers, Mary and Brittany Berry.
