Duane Thomas Clark, age 60, “Ozaawi Makwa” meaning “Brown Bear”, of Minneapolis, Minnesota began his spiritual journey on Thursday, May 20th, 2021 from his home, MN.  Duane was born in Butte, Montana to Evelyn (Clark) Thompson and Richard Swan on December 28th, 1960.

All his life, Duane was a hard worker and enjoyed the work he did.  He was a jokester, always laughing and smiling.  Duane loved spending time with his family and friends, but his favorite people to be with were his grandkids.  He loved taking them to the park and enjoyed family BBQ’s.  Duane and Brenda liked riding bike, which he called his “pony”, everywhere.  Duane was always in good spirit and had a positive outlook on life, always telling people “you can do it, just put your mind to it.”  Duane was constantly telling everyone that was near and dear to him how proud he was of their accomplishments.  He knew how to make you feel proud of yourself.  His smiling face and good heart will forever be missed.

Family that welcomes Duane to the spirit world are his son; Duane Mallory, mother; Evelyn Thompson, biological father; Richard Swan, father that raised him; Charles Staples, Jr., brothers; Charles III, David Sr. and Ronald Staples, his grandparents and many more relatives.
