Muncie – Duane L. Creson, 81, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at his residence following an extended illness.
Duane was born in Grundy Center, Iowa on June 14, 1932, the son of Fred Leroy and Meta (Lamar) Creson, and attended Eldora High School in Iowa.
Mr. Creson served proudly in the United States Army. Duane worked for 15 years with Gale Tschuor Company, before starting his own business as a Plumber where he worked for over 25 years. Mr. Creson was a member of the Heavy Equipment Operators Union.
Survivors include two sons, Donnie Creson, (wife-Nita), Muncie, and Ronnie Creson, (wife-Amanda), Muncie; a daughter, Donna Conley, Muncie; two sisters, Bernice King, Illinois, and Evelyn Wilhoit, Illinois; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Cooper, (husband-Nathan), Kristina Creson, (Tony), Stephanie Creson, Tana Bicknell, (Husband-Larry), Angel Conley (Japheth), Carol Stephens (Husband-Taylor), Brett Whitaker, (Krystal), Brooke Creson, and Brayden Creson; thirteen great-grandchildren; three special friends, Bart and Autumn Redwine, and Mick Gray, and several nieces and nephews. The family would also like to thank the nurses that took care of him during his time of need, Lora, Julie, Jama and Samantha.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 47 years, Jean Creson; and a brother, Donald Creson.
