Dreyton Wayne Day, 19, of Palatka, passed from this life on Saturday, June 19, 2021, from injuries received in an automobile accident. A native and lifelong resident of Palatka, Dreyton was a summa cum laude graduate from Palatka High School in 2020. While at PHS he was involved in FFA, was on the baseball team as well as the Archery Team that competed at the National Tournament in Louisville, KY. Following high school, Dreyton worked at St. Johns Auto Body and most recently was an apprentice with Willard Electric. He had attended Christ Independent Methodist Church in Palatka. In his leisure time, Dreyton enjoyed his Play Station.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Wayne Day.
Dreyton is survived by his father, Charles W. “Chuck” Day and step-mother, Melissa “Missy” of Palatka, his mother, Cheyenne Day of Hazlehurst, GA, his siblings, Jonathan Sherwood, Taylor Preston, Chase Strunk, and Jarrett Strunk, all of Palatka, paternal grandparents, Carolyn Day and George and Darlene Preston, all of Palatka, his maternal grandparents, Martha Ford of Palatka, Newbern Rowland of Hazlehurst, GA, and Steve Ford. Paternal aunt, Cindy Day Jordan, paternal uncles, Eldred Preston and Lyle Preston, maternal aunt and uncles, Zachary Ford, Craig Ford, Chad Ford, Erin Rowland and Jack Rowland.
