Dreka Renee Gray, 59, passed away peacefully in her own home, surrounded by family on October 2, 2017 after her struggle with breast cancer. Dreka was born in Colorado Springs, CO. to her mother Pearl Redden Moore (deceased) and Father George Redden (deceased) on September 16, 1958.
She lived a life full of love and laughter. She was truly a selfless person, always putting others before herself. Always there to help and take care of people in need. She would open up her home to foster children, she worked as a CNA and she loved to share with others God’s word, the Bible as a Jehovah Witness. Dreka was the life of the party, always ready to dance, always ready to have fun.
She lived with Multiple Sclerosis for 15 years and when Breast Cancer came, 11 years later, she never let the pain of it all steal her joy. She fully put trust in God’s promise of a paradise earth. She continued to enjoy each and every moment with her family and friends.
Dreka is survived by her husband Silvester Gray, her siblings Gregory, Ernie, Sonja, George Jr., Tranquileta, Sherry, Michelle, Theresa and Frances, her sons Ntana and Joda and daughters Sharmella, Mykia and Japera and a large extended family of cousins, neices, nephews and grandchildren
Dreka was preceded in death by her son Akeem and her two brothers Brendon and Reggie.
