Dr. William I. Conrad, 74, Anderson, died July 16, 2002 at his residence after a long bout with cancer. He was born February 2, 1928 in Madison County, Indiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. He lived in this area most of his life. He engaged in private practice in family dentistry from 1955-1993. In addition, he taught part-time at the Indiana University Dental School for thirty-two years. He was a graduate of Roosevelt Grade School in Anderson and Lapel High School.

He attended Indiana University and graduated from the I.U. School of Dentistry in 1953. He served a two year stint in the Air Force in San Angelo, Texas. He was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Anderson. He enjoyed wood carving. He was a former member of the Anderson Exchange Club. He is survived by his wife, Pat Millikan Conrad, who recently celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary on June 8, 2002 together.

Also surviving are his daughter and two sons: Desma & husband Gary Smith, Brad & wife Diann Conrad from Noblesville and Reed Conrad from Anderson. Four Grandchildren: Aubrey Smith, Cameron Smith, Bailey Conrad and Taylor Conrad. Brothers & Sisters: Loris & wife, Jeanne Conrad of Sarasota, Florida. George & wife Ann Conrad of Anderson. Montrue & husband Lewis Williams of Anderson. Mary Anna Wilson of Gaston. Charles & wife June Conrad of Alexandria. Robert & wife Wanda Conrad of Anderson. Calvin & wife Pam Conrad of Missouri. Don & wife Linda Conrad of Anderson. Many Nieces & Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Parents: Harold & Vern Stinson Conrad. Sister: Louise Hutton.
