Shaw, Roseanna E. Williams ALBANY Roseanna E. Williams Shaw, PH.D., formerly of Albany,NY entered into eternal rest on July 8, 2015, in San Diego, after a long struggle with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Rose was born on April 26, 2015, and raised in Albany, the daughter of Janie L. Williams Davis. She was a graduate of Albany High School and Fashion Institute of Technology. She had recently successfully completed her doctoral studies in counseling in San Diego. During her life she lived in several major cities and was confident taking on the challenges of stretching beyond borders. Having obtained her degree, Dr. Shaw set about working with women who had survived difficult life circumstances. It was her desire to help them reestablish productive lives for themselves and their children. Rose was a very creative woman and spiritually generous with those who came into contact with her. She never met a stranger. Dr. Shaw was predeceased by her grandparents, John L. and Rose L. Crowder Williams. Rose is survived by her son, Justin of Albany and grandchildren, Akila and Justin Jr.; her mother, Janie L. Williams Davis; her sister, Mauri Davis Lewis and three brothers, Bruce (Cynthia) of Holyoke, Mass., Jamie (Carolyn) of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Morris (Julie) of Australia; her nephew, Ryan and nieces, Angela, Emily, Makay and Andrea, along with a host of relatives and friends.
