Dr. Michael C. Shannon, age 66, of Santa Rosa Beach, Fl. passed away at his home on Saturday, April 7, 2012. He was born on September 11, 1945, in Bangor, Main to Paul and Alice Mailman Shannon. The first of Seven Children. He had been a resident of the local area for the past four years moving here from Lexington, Ky. He was Catholic by faith. He had earned his PhD as a Pharmacy Educator. His schooling included Undergraduate at the Univ. of Rhode Island and obtained his Master and Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Wisconsin College of Pharmacy.
He enjoyed stamp collecting was an avid reader and also enjoyed cross word puzzles. Most of all he loved his family and was a loving Son, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Nephew.
Survivors include his parents, Paul and Alice Shannon, loving wife Colina of 45 years marriage. Sons: John Shannon of Lexington, Ky, Eric Shannon of Santa Rosa Beach, Fl. Two Grandsons: Thomas Michael Shannon and Sean Michael Shannon. Brothers and Sisters: Anthony, Rosemary, Cecila, Tom, Becky, Juliette, Aunts, Uncles and a gaggle of Nieces and Nephews.
