Dr. Linwood A. Rohrbach Dr. Linwood A. “Lin” Rohrbach, 76, of Bethlehem, passed away suddenly at his residence on Tuesday, January 4, 2011. He was the loving husband of Mary A. (Amici) Rohrbach, with whom he shared over 51 years of marriage. Born in Old Zionsville, he was a son of the late Morgan and Erma (Benfield) Rohrbach. Lin served in the US Army from 1957 to 1960, and earned his B.S. from Kutztown University and his Masters degree from Lehigh University, before earning an Ed.D at NOVA University. He was a teacher in Emmaus, and later a teacher and administrator in Bristol Township. He worked with his brother at Emmaus Construction & Materials, Inc., as well as a tour planner and guide for Education Travel, Inc. Lin later established Rohrbach Custom Tours, Inc. He was a member of St. Annes Roman Catholic Church, where he served as a Lector, sang in the Choir and was a member of the 55 Club. He was a member of the Morning Star Rotary and hosted exchange students, was also a member of Beethoven Männerchor and Lehigh Sängerbund. Lin was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, and served in the Diocesan Ecumenical Kitchen. He was an avid reader, enjoyed studying WWII history and loved to travel. Survivors: Lins memory is cherished by his family: wife Mary; daughter Erika M. Rohrbach and her partner Maryellen Hauslaib of Hawthorne, NJ; brothers Forrest “Woody” Rohrbach and wife Frances of Emmaus, Elwood Rohrbach and wife Francois of Macungie; sisters Gloria Knerr and husband Warren of Breinigsville, Fern Rupert and husband Kenneth of Nazareth, Joanne Stine of Mesa, Arizona; and many nieces, nephews and their families. Lin was predeceased by brothers, Floyd, Lloyd, Paul and Gerald Rohrbach and a sister Joyce Measler.
