Dr. John Anthony Fetchero Jr. passed away on Monday, January 19, 2015. He was born on June 4, 1951 in Greensburg, PA, to John Anthony Fetchero Sr. and Cleda Mary (Byerly) Fetchero.
Dr. Fetchero Jr. graduated from Greensburg Central Catholic High School in 1969. He then attended St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA, graduating magna cum laude in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. In 1976, he received the Charles Reed Memorial Award and graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, IA. He completed his residency at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda, MD. He was board-certified in otorhinolaryngology and oro-facial plastic surgery by both the Osteopathic and Allopathic medical boards.
He served as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Navy on the USS Forrestal, Mayport, FL; a Captain and ENT physician at NAS Jax; and an ENT physician at Orange Park and Southside Family Medical Centers.
Dr. John Fetchero Jr. was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife and soulmate, Wynona Ann “Beetsie” Fetchero; sons, Dr.
